1.- THE INTEGERS

Read the first section of the notes: The integers

Now, copy and answer these questions in your notebook:

3.- THE ADDITION AND SUBTRACTION OF INTEGERS

Read the section 3.1. of the notes: The addition of the integers

Now, copy and answer these questions in your notebook:

Exercise 12. In this exercise you can practice subtraction, choose numbers with 1 and 2 digits.

Exercise 13. With this exercise you can practice combined addition and subtraction. Choose numbers with 1 and 2 digits and do only additions and subtractions.

Now do exercises 11A to 17A from the notes in your notebook and call the teacher when you have finished.

4.- THE MULTIPLICATION AND DIVISION OF INTEGERS

Read section 4 of the notes: The multiplication and division of the integers

Now, copy and answer these questions in your notebook:

¿Cómo se multiplican los números enteros?

¿Cuál es la regla de los signos?

¿Cómo se dividen números enteros?

Now, you can do these interactive exercises for multiplication and these for division. Call the teacher once you have finished each exercise.

If you have finished you can do exercises 18A and 19A from the notes.

5.- COMBINED OPERATIONS

Read section 5.1. about “distributive property” and do exercises 20.A and 21.A in your notebook. Call the teacher when you have finished.

Read section 5.2. about “extracting a common factor” and do exercise 23.A in your notebook. Call the teacher when you have finished.

Read “the rules of the order of operations” in section 5.3.and try to do the next interactive exercise using your notebook. Call the teacher when you have finished.

Exercise 14. Now, you are going to practice combined operations. Choose numbers with 1 and 2 digits and do only additions, subtractions, multiplications and divisions.
